By bidding on DETHRONE, you agree to the rules below.
Bidding
- Minimum bid is $5. Your rank on a URL is your running total bid on it, highest first.
- Bidding again on the same URL adds to your total — it doesn't replace it.
- Buying a rank buys placement, not endorsement.
- Click counts are informational, not a guarantee of traffic.
The cash-back
Hold the throne (#1). The moment a bid takes it from you, you get 90% of your stake back automatically. We keep the other 10% as the throne tax. Bids that never take #1 are final and non-refundable — only dethronings pay out.
- Raising your own bid while you already hold the throne doesn't trigger a refund.
- After you're refunded, your listing's total drops to the 10% we kept — refunded money doesn't keep ranking you.
How long a refund takes
- Refunds are issued automatically the moment you're dethroned. How fast it actually lands depends on how you paid — a PayPal balance or linked bank is usually same-day, while a credit or debit card can take 1–2 billing cycles for the issuer to post it, even though PayPal marks it complete right away on their side.
- If the automatic attempt fails, we retry automatically with increasing delays for up to about a day and a half. If it still hasn't gone through after that, it's queued for a human to complete manually — allow a few business days in that case.
- Refunds always go back to whatever payment method you originally bid with. We never send cash-back to a different account or handle.

Content & conduct
- No illegal content, scams, malware, adult content, or anything targeting minors.
- Violations are delisted without refund or cash-back bounty.
- We may remove any listing at our sole discretion.
Payments
Real-money bids are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details — that's handled entirely on PayPal's side.
